Feeding centres for malnourished children in Niger: HEKS provides emergency aid worth 350,000 francs

HEKS together with its partner organisation the Groupe d’Appui au Développement Rural Recherche Action (GADR-RA) is initially re-opening eight feeding centres in the drought-stricken Konni and Illela Departments. They will provide moderately malnourished children up to 5 years of age as well as expectant and breastfeeding mothers with food made from local ingredients.

HEKS is providing 300,000 francs in emergency aid for victims of the drought crisis in Ethiopia. HEKS’ partner organisation OSHO is distributing food to 8,000 of those affected in the project region of Borana during the initial phase.

Vietnam

HEKS backs projects in Vietnam which offer everyday support for orphans and for children who have lost their father or mother. The children are given a regular amount which pays for them to eat healthily, attend school, and take part in community activities.
